29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use a) On or about February 21, 2025, at the laundry, the portable eyewash was not filled with a solution, not capable of providing a flow of water for 15 minutes in a space with corrosive materials and exposing employees to eye injuries. b) On or about February 21, 2025, at the kitchen, the eyewash station was not inspected, exposing employees to eye injuries. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation items as required by 29 CFR 1903 (c) and (d) respectively.

29 CFR 1910.304(b)(3)(i): All 125-volt, single-phase, 15- and 20-ampere receptacles installed in wet locations were not equipped with ground-fault circuit-interrupter protection for personnel. a) On or about February 21, 2025, at the Windward Hotel kitchen, the employer did not ensure that a receptacle installed near the kitchen sink had ground-fault circuit-interrupter (GFCI) protection which exposed employees to an electrical shock hazard when using the space. NOTE: Certification and documentation of abatement must be submitted for this citation item as required by CFR 1903.19(c) and (d), respectively.
