29 CFR 1910.102(a): The employer did not ensure that the in-plant transfer, handling, storage, and use of acetylene in cylinders complied with the provisions of CGA Pamphlet G-1-2009 ("Acetylene"), which is incorporated by reference as specified in 29 CFR 1910.6: a) Maintenance Garage: On or about February 25, 2025, employees were exposed to fire hazards due to acetylene and oxygen cylinders being stored less than 20 feet from each other without a noncombustible, fire-rated partition. b) Maintenance Garage: On or about February 25, 2025, employees were exposed to fire hazards due to acetylene being stored unsecured from falling over. c) Maintenance Garage: On or about February 25, 2025, employees were exposed to fire hazards due to acetylene being stored without conspicuous signage posted in the storage area forbidding smoking or the carry of an open flame. Corrected during inspection.
