29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from other scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used. Cross braces were used as a means of access. a) New Commercial construction located at 5990 H F Reed Industrial Parkway, Flowery Branch, GA 30542: On or about 02/25/2025, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 4-feet while accessing and egressing the roof from the scaffold in that a proper ladder was not installed requiring the workers to climb the framework to the scaffold extension then to the roof.

D & M Masonry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (name previously cited standard), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1564059, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/18/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 3200 South Cherokee Lane Woodstock, 30188.
