29 CFR 1910.22(a)(2): The employer did not ensure that the floor of each workroom is maintained in a clean and, to the extent feasible, in a dry condition. The employer did not ensure that when wet processes are used, drainage is maintained and, to the extent feasible, dry standing places, such as false floors, platforms, and mats are provided. a. The Pullman Company, LLC - Napoleon, Ohio: On or about February 26, 2025, the employer did not ensure that the work floor near press 7785 was maintained in so far as possible a dry condition. The floor around the press presented coolant/oil residue and accumulations which exposed employees to slip and fall hazards. b. The Pullman Company, LLC - Napoleon, Ohio: On or about February 26, 2025, the employer did not ensure that the work floor and diamond-plate platform in the rubber press area was maintained in so far as possible a dry condition. The floor adjacent to press 8011, behind/between presses 8014 and 8013, and the work platform at press 8014 presented oil residue and accumulations which exposed employees to slip and fall hazards. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.

The Pullman Company, LLC - Napoleon, Ohio: On or about February 15, 2025, the employer did not ensure that energy control procedures identified specific steps to follow to control hazardous energy of the #8160 Tesla Weld Cell and Telesis. Procedures did not provide specific procedural steps to shut down the equipment, did not provide specific steps to disconnect isolating devices, and lacked specific steps to verify absence of stored energy, including operating controls to verify energy control measures. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
