29 CFR 1926.451(c)(2): Supported scaffold poles, legs, posts, frames, or uprights did not bear on base plates, mud sills or other adequate firm foundation: a- 11 Charlotte Court, Marlton NJ - A worker and the company worksite Foreman were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 16 feet 1 inch to the ground surface below, when performing siding installation and other related activities from two pump jack scaffolds (each on the opposite side of a residential structure) whose vertical posts/poles were not set on an adequate firm foundation. Condition observed on or about 03/04/25.

1926.451(g)(1)(vii) For all scaffolds not otherwise specified in paragraphs (g)(1)(i) through (g)(1)(vi) of this section, each employee shall be protected by the use of personal fall arrest systems or guardrail systems meeting the requirements of paragraph (g)(4) of this section. a- 11 Charlotte Court, Marlton NJ - A worker and the company worksite Foreman were exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 16 feet 1 inch to the ground surface below, when performing siding installation and other related activities from two pump jacks (on either side of the residential structure) that were missing end stops and a mid rail/screen that run the full length of these scaffold's active walking/working surface. Condition observed on or about 03/04/25. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
