29 CFR 1910.261(k)(18):The hazard of the nip points on all calender rolls was not eliminated or minimized by means of an effective barrier device, or by feeding the paper into the rolls by means of a rope carrier, air jets, or hand feeding devices. On or about March 6, 2025, employees were exposed to amputation hazards when setting up tear string because effective machine guarding was not in place to protect employee from reaching in or allowing the operator's hand to be exposed to nip points.
