29 CFR  1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  Location: 10 Norwood Pl, Nanuet, NY 10954  a) On or about March 11, 2025, employees did not use appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles while using a pneumatic nail gun to install plywood sheathing on a residential roof.  b) On or about March 11, 2025, employees did not use appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles while using a circular hand saw to cut plywood sheathing for a residential roof.  C.Y. & Son Contracting, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1533708, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 23, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 18 Yorkshire Drive, Suffern NY 10901.  Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the casefile, the employer need not submit certification nor documentation of abatement of this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system:   Location: 10 Norwood Pl, Nanuet, NY 10954  a) On or about March 11, 2025, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 20 feet to the ground below while engaged in sheathing activities on a residential peak roof without being protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest systems.  The C.Y. & Son Contracting, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1533708, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 23, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 18 Yorkshire Drive, Suffern NY 10901.  Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the casefile, the employer need not submit certification nor documentation of abatement of this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19.
