29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1):Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a. On top of a structure located at 88 Veterans Parkway, Saint John's, Florida: On or about March 20, 2025, the employer exposed employees to fall hazard, in that fall protection was not utilized by employees performing re-roofing operations. The Thomas May Construction Company was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1662080, citation number 01, item number02 and was affirmed as a final order on May 9, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 2550 Gilmore Street Central Riverside Elementary School, Jacksonville, Florida 32205.
