29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii)(B): The energy control procedures did not clearly and specifically outline the steps for shutting down, isolating, blocking and securing machines or equipment to control hazardous energy. a) Nylon Department: On or about March 15, 2025, and at times prior thereto, the employer exposed its employees to potential hazardous energies in that employees were allowed to work on equipment such as but not limited to the Evaporator Circulating Pump which has multiple energy sources such as electric, pneumatic, thermal and hydrostatic (residual water pressure) without having a written machine specific lock out procedure that included the thermal and hydrostatic (residual water pressure) energies to ensure that those energy sources were controlled while the employees were performing maintenance or servicing of the water pump.
