29 CFR  1910.1026(d)(2)(iii): The employer used the scheduled monitoring option, and monitoring revealed employee exposures to chromium (VI) to be at or above the action level; however, the employer did not perform periodic monitoring at least every six months:  a) On or about March 28th, 2025 the employer Union Tank Car Co. located at 939 Holland Rd. Marion, Ohio 43302 failed to conduct periodic monitoring at least every 6 months for Chromium VI exposure at or above the action level of 2.5 �g/m�.  Failure to conduct periodic monitoring can lead to unknown exposure to hexavalent chromium and expose employees to injuries such as irritation and increased risk of cancer to the lungs and nasal and sinus cavities.
