29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use [ANSIZ358.1-2004]: a. On or about April 10, 2025, outside the laundry area. The emergency eye wash station was not available for immediate emergency use since it was not operational due to its plumbing pipe which was removed. Employees used and/or handled corrosive JnM laundry products such as Oxybleach (hydrogen peroxide), Laundry bleach (sodium hypochlorite), Super Break (sodium hydroxide), and Spartan housekeeping products such as Clean-by-peroxy (hydrogen peroxide) and Clean on the go-NABC concentrate (alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride). NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item since it was submitted prior to citation issuance.
