29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) On April 16, 2025, employees engaged in roofing activity were not protected from fall hazards while working at an elevation of up to approximately 18 feet above the ground. Kobel Construction Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926. 501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1630500, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on February 22, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 539 Michael Manor, Glenview, IL 60025. Kobel Construction Inc., was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926. 501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1534154, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on July 19, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 534 Park Ave, River Forest, IL 60305. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19 (d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstration that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
