Crossbraces were used as a means of access.  a) On April 21, 2025, employees were not provided with a proper/safe means of access and egress while performing chimney repair work from a tubular welded frame scaffold.  Joseph Birkenheier Tuckpointing and Masonry, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 1926.451(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1675293, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on October 3, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1601 Highland Ave., Wilmette, IL 60091.
