29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer did not conduct an annual or more frequent inspection of the energy control procedure to ensure that the procedure and requirements of this standard were followed: a) B-10 Screw Level Production - On or about April 17, 2025, a baghouse utility employee and maintenance employee performed service and maintenance on the S3 conveyor screw. However, the employer did not conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure with each authorized employee at least once annually to ensure the procedure, and the requirements of the standard were being followed. Befesa Zinc US Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1703741, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on January 24, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 2701 East 114th Street, Chicago, IL 60617.
