29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and vertical surface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) On or about 04/04/2025, during the installation of a drip edge along the north side of a commercial building located at 20 North Union Street, in Rochester, New York, the employer did not utilize fall protection when an employee was assisting co-workers from an unprotected roof edge 8 feet above lower levels. The employee was exposed to fall hazards. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
