OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1):The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck-by and crushing hazards. On or about April 23, 2025, with respect to an establishment located at 107 E. Walnut St, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235, employees handling marine lift flanges were exposed to struck-by and crushing hazards when the employer did not ensure that flanges were being set up securely prior to the installation of a lifting lug. The 57 inch by 61 inch, 872 pound steel flange was leaned up against the main body of a marine lift and was not secured to prevent tipping, when an employee attempted to lean the flange forward to remove a strap that had been caught between the flange and the marine lift.
