29 CFR 1915.152(f)(6): The employer required employees to provide or pay for his or her own personal protective equipment (PPE). The employer is not required to pay for lost or intentionally damaged PPE. When the provisions of another OSHA standard specify whether or not the employer must pay for specific equipment, the payment provisions of that standard shall be cited. USS Momsen: On or about May 7, 2025, and at times prior thereto, welders were required to provide or pay for his or her own personal protective equipment to include welding jackets, welding gloves, leather hoods, and welding sleeves. This condition potentially exposed employee(s) to welding hazard(s).
