29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) On or about April 25, 2025, employees working re-work on Packaging Line #4 in the Packaging Department, were exposed to lacerations and amputation hazards. The employer did not ensure the tension roller was properly guarded, in-that employees were able to contact the tension roller located under the conveyor belt, exposing the employee(s) to an in-going nip point.
