29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer did not conduct an annual or more frequent inspection of the energy control procedure to ensure that the procedure and requirements of this standard were followed: (a)PPD (USA) Inc. at 1810 Northeast 3rd Street Madison SD 57042: On or about the and at times prior to May 8, 2025, the employer did not ensure that annual inspections on energy control procedures were being conducted on machines, to include but not limited to, the compression molding machines within the facility. This condition exposed employees to various hazards due to inadequate procedures. PPD (USA) Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1714112, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 3/21/2024 , with respect to a workplace located at 1810 Northeast 3rd Street, Madison, SD 57042.
