On the date above, the workers experienced eye burns while engaged in spill cleanup.

29 CFR 1910.134(d)(1)(i): Selection of appropriate respirators was not based on the respiratory hazard(s) to which the worker was exposed and user factors that affect respirator performance and reliability: building 2, near the staging area: On or about May 14, 2025, the employer did not provide the proper respirator for cleaning a chemical spill. On the date above, workers wore disposable respirators such as N95 or face masks to clean or contain a chemical spill when a tote was struck by a forklift. The workers experienced breathing difficulties and eye burns while engaged in the cleanup process.
