29 CFR  1926.502(d)(16): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, shall be rigged such that an employee can neither free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m), nor contact any lower level:   a - Building 2, 2801 Creek Road, Hainesport NJ:   A company worker was exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 20 feet 1 inch to the ground surface below, when walking & working at the unprotected edges of a commercial structure's exterior wall top plates, when waiting for the delivery of roof trusses being flown to them by an on site crane (and performing other related activities) while wearing a full body harness whose connected lanyard was attached to a sling that was wrapped around an unrated top plate of an interior wall.  Condition observed on or about 06/04/25.  b - Building 2, 2801 Creek Road, Hainesport NJ:   A company worker was exposed to fall hazards, in excess of 9 feet 1 inch to the flooring below, when walking & working at the unprotected edges of a single roof truss (that was set inside a commercial structure's second floor) while wearing a full body harness whose connected lanyard's length (also containing a shock pack) would not have prevented them from contacting the floor surface below.  Condition observed on or about 06/04/25.  NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM.  FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
