29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not protected by protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns:  a.  On or about June 23, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees working below roofing activities were not wearing hard hats, thereby exposing the employees to struck-by hazards.  Cruz Remodeling Services Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.100(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1500099, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on December 16, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 4030 Forest Ave. in Downers Grove, Illinois.

29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501(b):  a.  On or about June 23, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, employees performing residential roofing operations, eighteen (18) feet one (1) inch above ground, were not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employees to fall hazards.  b.  On or about June 23, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing residential roofing operations, ten (10) feet four (4) inches above ground, was not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards.  c.  On or about June 23, 2025, at the above addressed jobsite, an employee performing residential roofing operations, nine (9) feet five (5) inches above ground, was not protected from falls, thereby exposing the employee to fall hazards.  Cruz Remodeling Services Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1671770, citation number 2, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on October 17, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 17836 Durkin Rd. in Tinley Park, Illinois.  Cruz Remodeling Services Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1500099, citation number 1, item number 2a, and was affirmed as a final order on December 16, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 4030 Forest Ave. in Downers Grove, Illinois.
