29 CFR 1910.147(d)(1): Before an authorized or affected employee turns off a machine or equipment, the authorized employee shall have knowledge of the type and magnitude of the energy, the hazards of the energy to be controlled, and the method or means to control the energy. a) On or about 06/26/2025, in the Cutting Die Division, employees are not trained on the type and level of energy associated with the Sample Press, the hazards of the energy, or the proper methods for controlling it before turning off the Sample Press for servicing or maintenance activities, such as bolting down the dies or replacing the bolts. Employees are exposed to rotating hazards in the event of an unexpected startup of the Sample Press. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
