29 CFR 1926.100(a): Employees were not provided protective helmets while working in areas where there was a possible danger of head injury from impact, or from falling or flying objects, or from electrical shock and burns:  a) On July 1, 2025, employees working below employees performing roofing work exposed to struck-by hazards in that they were not wearing hard hats.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b):  a) On July 1, 2025, employees engaged in roofing work were not protected from fall hazards between approximately 11.5 feet and 17.6 feet above the ground.  G & L Remodeling Service Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1682050, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 31, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 1458 Warrington Rd., Deerfield, IL 60015.  G & L Remodeling Service Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1602673, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on January 4, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 6 Foxhill Dr., Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.
