This was most recently documented on or about July 15, 2025 at the temporary jobsite located at 2422 N. Hoover St., Wichita, KS 67212, when roofers were observed installing the underlayment and were exposed to a fall distance of approximately 18 feet eave to ground without the use of fall protection.  Gustavo Rodriguez was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1784451, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on 12-12-2024, with respect to a workplace located at 3314 North Bedford Ct. (Lot #41) Wichita, KS. 29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  The employer is failing to protect employees from fall hazards.  This was most recently documented on or about July 15, 2025 at the temporary jobsite located at 2422 N. Hoover St., Wichita, KS 67212, when roofers were exposed to a fall distance of approximately 17 feet in that the aluminum ladder used to access and egress the roof was not extended at least 3 feet above the eave and was not secured to the structure.
