29 CFR 1910.253(b)(4)(iii): Oxygen cylinders in storage were not separated from fuel-gas cylinders or combustible materials (especially oil or grease), a minimum distance of 20 feet: a) On or about July 30, 2025, at the Comfort Cooling Shop, compressed gas cylinders containing oxygen (UN1072) were stored together with compressed gas, acetylene (UN1001) cylinders of different sizes (small, medium and large), exposing employees to fire and explosion hazards. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item since it was submitted prior to citation issuance.

29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6: a) On or about July 30, 2025, at the Comfort Cooling Shop, several compressed gas cylinders containing nitrogen (UN 1066), oxygen (UN1072), and acetylene (UN1001) of different sizes (small, medium and large), were not secured from being knocked over, exposing employees to fire, explosion and struck-by hazards. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item since it was submitted prior to citation issuance.
