29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system: a) On or about July 29, 2025, employees engaged in roofing work were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 19.5 feet when installing sheet metal coping. J.L. Adler Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1671077, citation 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on September 28, 2023, with respect to a workplace located at 118 E. Jackson St., Joliet, IL 60432. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.
