29 CFR  1910.107(c)(6):Electrical wiring, motors, and other equipment outside of but within twenty (20) feet of any spray area, and not separated therefrom by partitions, produced sparks under normal operating conditions and did not otherwise conform to the provisions of subpart S of this part for Class I, Division 2 Hazardous Locations:  a) 901 Druerer Street, Egg Harbor City, NJ - Lamination: On or about 8/12/2025, Employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards in that a ventilation switch located in the lamination area used to power the ventilation exhaust fan, was not explosion proof and approved for class I division 1 locations where employees  sprayed DCPD Laminating Resin, a category 3 flammable.   b) 901 Druerer Street, Egg Harbor City, NJ - Lamination: On or about 8/12/2025, Employees were exposed to fire and explosion hazards in that two 4x4 electrical junction boxes located in the lamination area, were not explosion proof and approved for class I division 1 locations where employees  sprayed DCPD Laminating Resin, a category 3 flammable.    NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1): A written respiratory protection program that included the provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix) with worksite specific procedures was not established and implemented for required respirator use.   a) 901 Duerer Street Egg Harbor City, 08215-Lamination: On or about 8/12/2025, the employer did not develop and implement a written respiratory protection program with worksite-specific procedures for respirator use that included all provisions in 29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(i) - (ix). The employer required the Lamination employees to wear a 3M 6200 half face elastomeric respirator, throughout the shift when grinding.   NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

The employer requires employees to wear 3M 6200 elastomeric half face respirators  or a 3M full face elastomeric respirator when griding.    b)Release BW, Inc. 901 Duerer Street Egg Harbor City, 08215: On or about 8/12/2025,  the employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine an employee's ability to use a respirator before allowing its use.  The employer allows employees to voluntarily wear 3M 6200 elastomeric half face respirators when spraying or rolling resin and gel coat.
