29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2):Installation and use. Listed or labeled equipment shall be installed and used in accordance with any instructions included in the listing or labeling. a) On or about November 20, 2025, the employer failed to ensure that electrical equipment was used in accordance with its manufacturer's listing and labeling. Specifically, a black "Do It Best" power strip with a 4-foot cord was zip-tied to the side of MAAC Cell 4 in the production area. The power strip had both a PLC computer system and a fan plugged into it and was suspended by the computer cord, which was also zip-tied to the cell. This installation method is inconsistent with the intended portable use of the power strip and created a condition where the device was used as a permanent fixture without proper support or protection, exposing employees to potential electrical hazards such as overheating, arcing, or mechanical strain on the cords and connections.
