The top edge height may exceed 45 inches (114 cm), provided the guardrail system meets all other criteria of paragraph (b) of this section (see Figure D11 of this section). De-palletizer platform. On or about December 10, 2025 the top edge height of the top rail provided for the de-palletizer platform was 37.5 inches above the walking-working surface.

De-palletizer platform. On or about December 10, 2025 the midrail installed on a platform was 11 inches above the walking-working surface. The midpoint of the guardrail system as configured on the day of inspection was 18.75 inches above the walking-working surface.

A manager suffered serious injuries when servicing equipment that had not been isolated or rendered inoperative.
