29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles. At a worksite located at 23801 East 11th Terrace South, Independence, MO, 64056, employees were exposed to struck by hazards to their eyes and faces. The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to utilize pneumatic nail guns while performing roofing work without the use of eye and face protection. Barragan Construction LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.102(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1588595, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 6/30/2022, with respect to a workplace located at 32250 166th Street, Gardner, Kansas, 66030.

The employer exposed the employees to these hazards by allowing them to perform roofing work at heights greater than 22 feet without the use of fall protection.
