29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i):Procedures were not developed, documented and utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section:(a): On or about January 29, 2026, BrightPet Nutrition Group, LLC dba Ohio Pet Foods Inc failed to document and ensure employees utilize procedures for the control of the hazardous electrical energy source of the Cyclone Airlock Machine of the Geenlen Counterflow Cooler when engaged in service and maintenance activities such as cleaning and clearing of jams inside the machine.

General-duty citation text
29 CFR 1910.147(d): The established procedures for the application of energy control (the lockout or tagout procedures) shall cover the following elements and actions and shall be done in the following sequence: On or about January 29, 2026, BrightPet Nutrition Group, LLC dba Ohio Pet Foods Inc did not ensure employees performing cleaning and servicing activities by unjamming kibble and dust out of the Cyclone Airlock of the Geenlen Counterflow Cooler followed the established energy control procedures by; turning off or shutting down the Cyclone Airlock [per 1910.147(d)(2)], isolating the Cyclone Airlock from the electrical energy sources [(d)(3)], affixing lockout device(s) to the energy isolation devices [(d)(4)(i)], and verifying de-energization and isolation had been accomplished [(d)(6)], prior to the removing of a panel and checking for jams of kibble and dust from the Cyclone Airlock.
