29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge 6 feet or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of a guardrail system, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system: a) Jobsite located at or near 217 North Springfield Road, Clifton Heights, PA 19018 - On or about February 17, 2026, the employer did not ensure employees engaged in commercial construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels were protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. Employees were in the process of installing temporary guardrails on the roof of a commercial building without the use of fall protection, thereby exposing employees to falls of approximately 30 feet. The EDA Contractors, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1548818, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on March 17, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 6501 New Street Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19135.
