29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. a. The Roof - On or about February 27, 2026, employees were performing roof patching work on a low slope commercial roof without a complete warning line system. Employees work in areas beyond the ends of the warning line exposed to a two story fall. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1926.502(f)(1): Warning lines were not erected around all sides of the roof work area: a. The Roof - On or about February 27, 2026, employees were performing roof patching work on a low slop commercial roof they had set up an incomplete warning line system. The warning lines did not go to the end of the work area and did not have any warning lines on the sides to form a complete enclosed work area. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
