29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b). Location: Worksite On or about March 10, 2026, employees were exposed to fall hazards of up to 20 feet while performing roofing activities, where the employer did not ensure that proper fall protection was in place. Some employees wore harnesses but were not properly tied off. There were also not enough harnesses available on site for all employees. The employer has previously failed to ensure that employees were protected by fall protection, as seen in prior OSHA inspection: a) A R & R Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1816120, citation number 1, item number 2 a which was affirmed as a final order on 8/19/2025, with respect to a workplace located at 64 Washington Street, Gloucester, MA 01930.
