Final narrative
An employee was installing a robotic welder and finishing the cement grouting around the workstation when his right foot entered the service pit of an adjunct active robotic welder. The active robotic welder began its cycle and crushed/pinned the employee's right foot against the barrier guard and the welder. He suffered lacerations and fractures to the big toe and two adjacent toes. The active welder was guarded at the time of the incident.
