An employee was driving a personnel carrier (cart) outside of a plant (courtyard area) when the employee ran into a 4x4 piece of lumber, which caused the cart to fall on its side. The employee fell off in the opposite direction of the falling cart and impacted the concrete floor, suffering a broken bone near the hip socket.
