Final narrative
An employee was opening the parts plate after a cycle on a compression molding machine. As the upper plate opened, the employee noticed a part stuck in the upper plate. The employee reached in between the upper plate and the tool to reach the stuck part. As the employee reached in, the hook from the hoist chain released and the upper plate fell down onto the employee's hand, causing a burn injury.
