Final narrative
An employee was cleaning up the hardwood shaker area and attempted to pull a piece of metal out of a conveyor. The piece of metal then severely lacerated the employee's left thumb, resulting in a surgical thumb tip amputation. The conveyor was running at the time of the incident.
