On March 4, 2020, a lineman was transferring #6 copper wire from an old pole to a new pole while on an aerial lift (30 feet above the ground). He was using a MAC (used as a temporary jumper wire) when a live #6 copper wire at the other end of the MAC touched his left thigh and right elbow, which completed the circuit, causing contact burns to his left thigh and right elbow. The employee was hospitalized.
