Struck by discharged object or substance · Puncture wounds, except gunshot wounds

On the morning of 9/05/2020, an employee was using a water jet machine to clear a plugged sewer line. Around 11:48 AM, the jetter nozzle struck an obstacle in the line that caused it to change direction back toward the sewer line opening. Once the nozzle reached the opening of the manhole, the backjets sent the nozzle up the manhole. The nozzle struck the employee in the torso, knocked him over, and got caught in the clothes around his torso while still under pressure. The employee sustained puncture wounds from the pressurized water and was hospitalized.
