An employee lost his footing and sank into a puddle of water next to a steam condensate line. While he was trying to regain his balance, the end of the return steam condensate line got caught inside his knee-high boot. He suffered first- and second-degree steam burns from below the knee to the toes. The employee was hospitalized.
