An employee was moving tools and equipment from a 16-ton steel track excavator to co-workers at the work area on site. The employee was walking toward the excavator when he fell. The excavator backed up and ran over his legs, resulting in multiple breaks in his left femur, tissue damage to the left ankle and left foot, and one broken toe on left foot, as well as multiple fractures and tissue damage in the right foot.
