An employee was lifting a trailer ramp to lock it in place for travel. The trailer ramp is divided into two sections. The further section of the ramp is spring-loaded and was folding down due to the weight of it being lifted, but it sprung up when the closer section of the trailer was upright, catching the employee's left index finger in a pinch point. The employee suffered fingertip amputation.
