An employee was opening the doors of her trailer when a pallet of freight fell out onto her. The pallet struck her leg and knocked her to the ground, and the boxes in the pallet landed on top of her. The employee was hospitalized with multiple fractures to her left leg (one break below the knee and two breaks in the ankle) and an overextended tendon in her right middle finger that required surgery.
