Employee was rolling a small SS repad (4x6x3 16). EE was using a backing plate pushing on the backing plate to get it started into the roll. Then a coworker walks up to speak to him during this process and the operator turned around to look speak to the coworker while the machine was running this is when EE pinched his right thumb between the backing plate and the forward bottom roll.
