Staff member was working on plating a blood cluture that went positive and while removing the needle from the blood culture she accidently nicked her finger while setting the needle attachment in the biohazard sharps container under the safety hood. She immedately washed her finger for 30 seconds or so an dapplied an alchol wipe as well as with a band aid.
