What happened
City carrier assistant was delivering city [REDACTED] on [REDACTED]. He was delivering a park and loop on the [REDACTED] of [REDACTED] As he was going to deliver mail to [REDACTED] he went up twenty stairs. He was going to deliver mail to the box on the back of the house As the carrier turned the corner he was a pitt bull that was not tied up. carrier tried to retreat and jump down 4 stairs. As he jumped to get away from the dog he landed on his left ankle. The dog stopped chasing him. When carrier got to the promaster he called to report the accident to Supervisor . carrier is seeking medical treatment.
