What happened
While in a gunner position atop the cone a large blue cooler with wheels and a metal bar fell off the conveyor belt. The employee went to catch the cooler coming off the decline belt the metal bar struck her left thumb causing immediate pain. She examined her thumb and determined that nothing was broken. She continued to sort parcels to complete the load. After the air mail was complete she notified the Lead Clerk on duty. The employee went out to the dock to inform the contractor ProTech that loading coolers with wheels is unsafe.
