On [REDACTED] The MidWest Fleet experienced a NonPreventable (DOTReportable) Accident that resulted in injuries At approximately [REDACTED] a driver with 3 years of service ([REDACTED] [REDACTED]) was slowing on the interstate and was rearended The driver noticed police lights about a mile ahead and traffic beginning to slow so he turned on his flashers to alert the traffic behind him A semi behind our driver did not slow down At the last minute the driver of the other semi swerved to the right and clipped the passengers side rear of our trailer breaking the DOT bumper damaging the trailer entry steps and puncturing the side of the trailer The driver had a 4stop load One stop had been delivered The trailer had approximately 33000 lbs of freight left on it 1347 lbs of that freight is hazmat Since our vehicle is drivable the police are driving the truck and trailer to [REDACTED] ([REDACTED] [REDACTED]) The other vehicle will have to be towed Our driver has been taken to [REDACTED] Region
